OUR STORY
THE EARLY DAYS
The story of Louise Damas begins during her French Language and Literature major. At that time, Louise was introduced to sculpture, where she rediscovered her long-standing love of handiwork. And then one day, all of a sudden, from sculpture comes her desire to make her own jewelry. A jewelry that corresponds to her desires of the moment. Sat on the floor of her apartment, as she still likes to do today, Louise gives life to her ideas. A pair of pliers, pearls, a few chains, an audio book in her ears... Little by little, her Parisian apartment takes on the appearance of a workshop.

From selling at designer markets to opening an Instagram account and then a website, the many orders are shaking up Louise's life. Soon, she will have to choose between the security of her studies and her passion for creation. In 2012, convinced that nothing is impossible, she decides to embark on the adventure and create her jewelry self-taught. The first chapter of the Louise Damas brand had just been written.

Revisiting the world
Louise finds inspiration in what surrounds her. Her readings on a café terrace, a vintage cufflink, an ancient blue borrowed from a toile de Jouy, the details of a work of art, the women she meets and the timeless female icons. From the first creations guided by the heroines of literature, Louise Damas is today a plural collection that invites each woman to write her own story.

Louise Damas is also the adventure of a persevering young woman who trained herself by meeting professionals and craftsmen to give life to her ideas. Whether it be setting, welding or working with metal, it is by their side that Louise acquires the necessary know-how to create her increasingly sophisticated collections. Today, supported by a team of craftsmen, she creates her collections in accordance with her human and environmental values.

6 rue du Château d'Eau: a shared adventure
One day, Louise met Claire, the luminous creator of the leather goods brand Fauvette Paris. Together in 2015, they created a unique place: a workshop-boutique where they exhibit and make their creations right in front of the curious. Welcome to Passage Doré: a concept-store in their image that contains their own creations and all the curiosities they find and assemble in a common universe.
